What's New

January 16, 2015 - 1:02pm -- karenp

First, we started at our classroom as we walked across the pavement, we saw about 34 American Robins. Then we saw about 4 of the COOLEST NORTHERN FLICKERS EVER!!!!!!!!!! Then later as we were quietly walking along the schoolyard when we saw a flock of 13 House Sparrows and a Mourning Dove. Then at the very end of our long and exciting journey we saw 23 DARK EYED JUNCO'S AND ONE BLACK CHICKADEE, BOTH OF WHICH ARE THE MOST CUTE BIRDS IN THE HISTORY OF VICKY'S MIND.

Today we saw a Cedar Waxwing along with other birds like Dark-eyed junco etc. These birds were awesome in how they were acting, they also were very beautiful!

Bring on the birds!

September 24, 2014 - 10:02am -- karenp

Mrs. Palazzolo's 4th graders just added seed to our feeders and water to our bird bath in the Outdoor Classroom. We heard quail and saw lots of "little brown birds" which we will be learning to identify. Bring on the birds!
