January 29, 2015 - 12:49pm -- Laura Crawford

Greetings bird watchers, this is Seth with the bird news for you. Sadly, my buddy Sean cannot be with us today because of P.E. Basketball practice, but I am here today. Okay, the news is that the Little Birds have Striked back against the Sharp-Shinned Hawk and are still holding him off. They are still holding him off and are still feeding in the feeding zone. I would send you a picture but the sharp-shin ruined my camera. Okay, sorry but I am out of time. See you next time when birds go crazy. :) :) :) :)

January 28, 2015 - 10:03am -- Laura Crawford

Hello bird watchers, this is Seth and Sean with the Bird news for you. Recently a Sharp-Shinned Hawk has decided that Mrs. Crawford's bird feeders is a resturant and let me tell you it is not good. He has killed two finches and is still murdering our birds and is still on the strike. Now to you Sean. Thank you Seth, now yesterday we accidently (on purpose) spilled bird feed by the school doors by our room and we get a good snapshot of the birds that come up close and decide to eat there. Okay, I'm done back to you Seth. Thanks Sean, now back to the Sharp- Shinned Hawk. He is ,wait, he just left, and the finches have moved back into the feeding zone. Okay, we are out of time and thank you for listening to Sean and Seths' bird reporting. :) :) :)

Woodpeckers Come Out of No Where and at My House Their Was a Starcould! Also Raptors Appear on field trip and while pick-ups are being picked-up

January 16, 2015 - 12:42pm -- Laura Crawford

Greetings bird watchers, this is your bird reporter Seth with his assistant, Kai, with some news that will blow your mind. The woodpeckers have finally pecked their way out of the darkness and have appeared. They usually hang out at our new feeder or just stay perched. And now to the starlings which by the way when I mean starcloud I mean a cloud of starlings. When I estimated there were over 500 starlings, but that was the first day.One week later I saw even more. In all I saw over 1000 starlings in two weeks. Also, when some of our class, including me, went on a field trip on Wednsday I saw a Bald Eagle and a Red-Tailed hawk. On Thursday I saw a sharp shin fly over the pick-up area and I think it got a bird. Okay okay I'll close it, see you next time on the Lake Ridge bird watching channel. This isyor bird reporter and watcher Seth siging out. :)

Thanks you for the feeders

January 9, 2015 - 8:00pm -- Laura Crawford
