Owls have many interesting adaptations. One of them is that that have incredible hearing that allows them to pinpoint where their prey is. Another one is that they have an incredible neck that can turn 270 degrees. Also they have very good eyesight that allows them to be able to use all available light to see. Last we were taught something very disgusting. We learned that when owls eat something they eat it whole if it is small enough. Then all the feathers, fur and bones get thrown up. Then they are called owl pellets. As an activity we were able to dissect an owl pellet. Then we were able to sort out all of the bones and try to figure out what animal they came from. I hope you will take time to learn about owls just like my class and I did.
